Adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities, autism, or traumatic brain injuries may have barriers and disadvantages in regard to obtaining employment to support themselves. In these cases, vocational training is available for disabled adults who would like to obtain employment and learn the skills necessary to do so.
Vocational training programs encompass a wide variety of skills, including pre-vocational training, training in social skills, independent living skills, skills to integrate fully into the community, and other educational classes that will contribute to finding and maintaining gainful employment. At Vocational Solutions of Henderson County in East Flat Rock, North Carolina, we offer vocational training to adults who would like to seek employment and need assistance to learn the skills needed to do so. During the vocational training programs, we also work to improve confidence to promote a higher level of self-reliance and productive decision-making skills to work toward competitive employment.
