At Vocational Solutions of Henderson County, we want to make sure we find the right employment option for every person who joins our program. For this reason, we conduct a comprehensive assessment before the vocational training program starts.
We offer a variety of training programs for disabilities, so during the assessment process, we assess the participant’s mental, emotional, physical, and social abilities. We also assess their personal limitations and work tolerances, as well as their current and future employment potential.
Once we complete this assessment, we create a vocational profile for the participant. This vocational profile provides information others can use about future employment-related decisions. As the participant engages in different training programs for disabilities, we update this profile as needed to provide additional insight.
We contract through the NC Division of Vocational Rehabilitation to provide training programs for disabilities. These programs are for those who require intensive training and long-term support to obtain and maintain independent employment. Local businesses also help us with this mission by providing us with outsourcing labor contracts that provide employment opportunities for those who participate in our programs.
If your child is interested in securing supported employment through one of our training programs for disabilities, we encourage them to get started with an assessment. To learn more about what the assessment process entails or our different training programs, contact us today.
