We provide programs that help people with disabilities learn valuable life skills.
At Vocational Solutions of Henderson County, we provide services to adults with disabilities who have adequate adaptive and motor skills to learn new life skills in a structured, closely supervised setting. The goal of our life skills program is to enhance personal growth by maximizing independence, functional ability, and real-life activities.
We can customize our life skills training program to the individual. Some of our areas of support include personal care, like dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene, to everyday tasks training, which can include general cleaning, grocery shopping, meal preparation, and other activities. We also provide regular community outings and activities that build on these skill-enhancing activities.
Our life skills program improves quality of life and expands boundaries for people with disabilities in Laurel Park, North Carolina. Beyond our life skills training program, our vocational training programs help disabled individuals learn new skills and work towards meaningful employment.
Every participant’s journey with us starts with an assessment. This allows us to get a sense of the individual’s social, mental, and physical capabilities while also targeting beneficial life skills and employment training opportunities.
We provide all of our vocational and life skills training programs in a comfortable, supportive, and structured environment led by qualified team members.
